German Immigrants in America

This book is a " Choose Your Own Adventure" book. You can be a German immigrant in Texas in the 1840s, a German from Russia homesteading in Dakota Territory in the 1880s or a German immigrant during World War II. This book teaches you about German immigrants. You also get to choose what you want to do in the book, for example to go to the supermarket or to stay home. There are 46 choices and 17 endings. In every story you face challenges, such as staying in America or going back to your homeland. Some of the book was not exciting but I still think it was a good book.

Wonder

This book is about a deformed boy who is homeschooled. Then he decides to go to school, because his mom and dad convince him. They think he should grow up. His name is August. At first nobody likes him except a few kids, because of his face. Because some kids learned not to judge him by his face, more and more kids started to like him. The book switches between different people in the story, but it's mostly about August. I think this book teaches you not to judge people by there face. Some of the parts are sad like when their dog dies, but others are funny. I would recommend this book to anybody that likes every day life.

Wildwood

Wildwood by Colin Meloy is a fantasy novel that starts off slowly, but its well worth the wait. The first 70 pages are about ordinary life rather than anything interesting. The book’s two main characters are Prue and Curtis. They are tweens who live on the edge of the Impassable Wilderness in Portland, Oregon. Both their parents have warned them never to go inside, butPrue’s baby brother is abducted by a murder of crows, who are heading straight for the Impassable Wilderness. So Prue and Curtis set off into the deep, dark forest, where they will encounter the mysterious Dowager Governess, an unusual mailman and the notorious Bandit King, all amid a world of nature and magic. And little do they know, everything is about to change. I liked Wildwood very much despite the slow beginning. I would recommend this book to readers who like the Harry  Potter series.
