I read an article in the Week for Kids and it is about a ball court that was uncovered. People used to play a mix of basket ball and soccer. And it is still played in Mexico today. The sport is called ulama. The people who play it wear special clothes. Mayan and Aztec cultures let their king show how strong they are. I wish the writer told me the rules of the game and how to play. Scientist might not of know how to play but the scientists might be able to ask the cultures how to play the game now.

Recipe for Adventure
This series I am reading is about two kids named Alfie and Emilia who have an aunt named Zia. Their aunt cooks magical recipes from different cities around the world like Paris, Hong Kong or Naples. However she even wrote about Philadelphia! They go to the different countries to have an experience and to see what it is like. And they have to tell a lie to the people there because if the people know what happened, they get into really big trouble. In Paris they almost got caught with saying their phone number wrong. The part of the book that really got me hooked is that the author gives a recipe or two recipes on how to make food at the end. And the food has to be from that country they go to. I have read Paris, Philadelphia, Naples and Hong Kong.
