Alex Morgen By: Dan Wetzel
Alex Morgen is a famous soccer player and has achieved her goal. When Alex was a girl she played soccer and her coaches realized that Alex was not a regular soccer player. So her coaches decided that Alex needed a higher level. Alex wasn't on a travel team 'till much later. When Alex went to college she got a call asking if she wanted to practice with Diamond Bar (that is a soccer comity) Alex had to say yes. The camp Alex went to was a tough one but later on she made it on to the team. Alex had an injury in her knee cap witch was easy to fix for the doctors. Alex said that her knee was heeling really quick and she could go back to playing soccer soon. When Alex won a big game and she was having a celebration when she got a call saying that the women's national soccer team wanted her on there team. Alex went to the Olympics and lost. At the Olympics Alex played Sweden and in the end they ended up doing penalty kicks and that was how Sweden won.
Nick and Tesla's Solar-Powered Showdown
This book is about two kids named Nick and Tesla. They solve a mystery with a bunch of cool gadgets that you can build yourself. The book has some science experiments that you might like.
One of the experiments is a solar powered frankfurter cooker. I made it and it was exciting so you will probably like it too. This book is apart of a series of mysteries (they all have experiments).
Nick, Tesla, their friends and Uncle get captured by a bunch of old ladies that are crazy good at karate. A man named "Bob" is trying to kidnap their parents while making a gun that can cook people on Earth and in outer space. My favorite part was when Nike and Tesla in the beginning are fighting about whether or not they should click on something on a computer, because they go back and forth like cats and dogs. I think you will enjoy this book because it is a mystery and it is an awesome book. I learned science while have a lot of fun.
